The two most common nozzle types for 1.75 filament are MK8 and E3D V6. They both use M6 threading size. They do have different thread/overall length. Refer to the photos below, on the left you will find the MK8 while on the right you will see the V6:
You should always choose one that is specified by your printer manufacturer.
