Almost all slicers — Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, Simplify3D, and others — can read both ASCII and binary STL files. Once the slicer loads the model, it converts it into internal geometry and generates G-code. So ASCII vs binary does not affect print quality, geometry, or the final G-code. HOWEVER, ASCII STLs can be 5–10× larger than binary STLs. Also, large text files load slower, especially for complex models.
