One main cause that leads to a 3d printer not feeding filament properly is a jam due to material failing to stay on the reel. Like what you see here, the material is twisted and clogged before entering the extrusion path!
To avoid the problem you must keep the filament and the reel properly organized while still allowing the reel to spin. Otherwise a jam can lead to a total waaste of print time ans power.
