Is support required for large object with overhang? In this example, I accidentally forgot to enable the generate support option in Cura. Still, the object is printed without any problem. While generating support is recommended, all I want to say is that you do not have to worry even if you forgot to do so.
As you can see here, without support there will for sure be quality issues at the bottom of the overhang:
A quick fix is to use soldering iron on it (assuming this is PLA):
