This is a XI Sport NU Plugin ESC Fan Mount. You “plug it in” to the side of the chassis board.
The fan sits vertically. 3cm fan is supported although 2cm fan may still be used.

It does add 2mm of thickness to the bottom.
This photo shows the recommended installation location. The fan should blow directly at the ESC.
